21 year old football player given lifetime ban in the aftermath of match-fixing scandal

Numerous players and officials would suffer the consequences of a protracted investigation into match-fixing in Brazilian soccer that eventually spread to other nations. One of them was given what may be considered the greatest punishment a soccer player could receive: a lifetime ban from the game. One of them was former Vila Nova de Goiás player Marcos Vinicius Alves Barreira. The 21-year-old player, better known to his supporters as Romário, was given a lifetime ban. A $5,000 fine will also be imposed on him.

I really want to say that giving a lifetime punishment ban from soccer to a player because of match fixing is too much but only God knows how many time would have been involved in match fixing before he was caught

Of what gains had it benefited a 21 years old called Romario who was found guilty of match fixing by the Brazilian soccer authorities. His life time sports career had been spoilt as a result of this exercise and he had also lost the trust of his supporters.
