$70million Lotto Max winner plans to give back to society

One of Ontario's newest multimillionaires, an Ottawa native intends to use the wealth to support those in greatest need.

The $70 million Lotto Max jackpot was won by the 49-year-old who bought the winning ticket from Ottawa's east end.

The winner spoke movingly during the celebration, detailing her experiences as a teenage mother, her battle with cancer, and her journey to 25 years sobriety from drug addiction. She said that after overcoming numerous obstacles in life and receiving support from those around her, she now wished to donate a portion of her newfound wealth.
