A betting company faces closure if it fails to pay Sh55 million.

A software development company has submitted a legal document to the court in an attempt to dissolve the operations of a gambling company due to their failure to repay a debt of Sh55 million. In the court filings, Khubi Solutions Ltd is seeking the liquidation of Cheza Gaming Ltd, which is trading as Helabet, due to their non-compliance with payment obligations for the creation of the gambling platform since October 2021. The software developer previously took legal action and was granted a debt settlement of Sh55 million in a dispute with Helabet, a local gambling firm. High Court Judge John Mativo instructed the gambling company to pay a sum of Sh54,697,257.27 (equivalent to US$ 371,915.36) to Khubi after they neglected to fulfill the payment for the development of the company's platform.
