A builder was sentenced to prison after stealing £700,000 from a resident and gambling it away in casinos.

Sole director of Myint Construction Ltd has been sentenced to four years in jail and banned from being a company director for eight years.

He defrauded a resident of £700,000 during a home refurbishment by using fake references, issuing false invoices, and misleading about completed work.
