A casino plan for Jackson, Mississippi, fails in parliamentary committee

A proposal to build a casino in Jackson, Mississippi, got dropped by a legislative committee.

Despite the setback, encouragement was given to potential investors. The decision not to push the bill came after House Republicans realized they didn't have enough votes.

Some Democrats and local representatives opposed the idea, fearing it would harm existing casinos.

The result could had definitely gone in their favour if they had done their research on the public survey of the people but definitely they can always try again and they can make sure that they come up with a better idea for the community so that their idea can be approved and they can be allowed to offer their services of gaming in the market for their community
