A large lottery fund has been given to a Swindon group that assists the disabled.

An organization in Swindon has received a grant of £150,000 from the National Lottery to assist individuals with disabilities in securing employment. Phoenix Enterprises collaborates with adults facing challenges related to mental health, learning abilities, and physical impairments, preparing them for integration into the workforce.

Their approach involves providing personalized support, including assistance with writing resumes, tips for interviews, and essential life skills such as managing finances, effective communication, and cooking. This recent contribution is a result of The National Lottery's Community Fund, which aims to allocate £4 billion to local communities by 2030. Over 250 charities and community groups in the South West region will benefit from this initiative.
