A lesson I learnt from my early gambling

When I first started playing poker online, I would often go all in with weak hands trying to double up. This high risk strategy hardly paid off for me. Live games taught me how wrong this approach was. These days you don't see me putting mediocre cards all in very often. I now try to preserve my chips and hope to see the community cards rather than looking for longshot all ins. Reducing mistakes and unlucky plays instead of relying on luck has grown my bankroll the most. I have learnt that patience and restraint are more important than technique and skills.
