A lottery-funded project to upgrade Kingswood Park

The process of revitalizing and improving Kingswood Park has taken a significant stride forward as South Gloucestershire Council has officially applied for a grant of £3.36m from the National Heritage Lottery Fund.

In collaboration with the volunteer organization Friends of Kingswood Park and the broader community, the council has diligently sought to comprehend the priorities and desires of local residents, incorporating these insights into their proposals. To support the bid's advancement, the Lottery generously awarded £120,000 in funding in October 2021.

This lottery-funded initiative to upgrade Kingswood Park sounds like a great opportunity to improve an important community space. Public parks are so valuable for families, kids to play and exercise, and encouraging outdoor activities. I'm sure the residents will appreciate any enhancements, from renovating playground equipment to making the areas more accessible.
