A New York law is intended to stop "predatory bookmaker bonuses."

Senator Pete Harckham introduced the legislation, known as Senate Bill 9605, in the New York State Senate.
The New York City Gaming Committee is required, according to the document, to "propound regulations and guidelines for predatory bookie bonuses in mobile sports betting, such as but not restricted to deposit, matching, risk-free wagering, free money, bonus schemes, site credits, and earnings boosts."
However, it did not specify what steps the government should take to stop them, for instance whether the so-called "rapacious" promotions should be outlawed or only subject to stricter regulations.

This law aims to protect consumers by cracking down on "predatory bookmaker bonuses", which can be a tactic used to lure in unsuspecting players and trap them in a cycle of debt. We love freebies and bonuses and they are using it as a tool.b
