Does position play into this decision at all? Being first to act with Aces gives more flexibility to bet/fold as needed. If I'm out of position, my opponent likely assumes Aces or a close second best since I didn't act with a strong hand already. Position is important information.
Can I comfortably fold Aces for a loss if 4-bet and raised again? As an experienced player, knowing when to accept losses is just as important as winning big pots. While Aces are a favorite, they aren't invincible. I need to go in ready to muck them if I go all in and find myself likely behind, to avoid losing even more money.
Every hand in poker is situationally dependent. While Aces are an obvious starting hand to play aggressively based on strength alone, there are reasonable arguments to make on both sides ofbetting/folding them here based on the details. A balanced approach is needed, not blind aggression or passivity. As a strategic player, I consider the total odds and can justify either action, betting Aces or folding them depending on reads and position. Poker decision making involvesanglesof the same situation.
