Aaron Blom, a kicker for Iowa, is charged following a sports gambling investigation.

Following a sports gambling probe by the Iowa Division of Criminal probe, it was claimed that Iowa kicker Aaron Blom placed "approximately 170" adolescent sports wagers, included one wager on an Iowa football game. He is now facing an allegation of tampering with records.

The Johnson County Attorney's Office on Tuesday issued a criminal complaint alleging that Blom, an extra kicker at the time, bet on the under in the 2021 Cy-Hawk contest versus Iowa State and made seven more wagers on Hawkeye sports.

According to the lawsuit, his mother allegedly told law officials that he placed the wagers in her name "with her consent and knowledge." Over $4,400 was allegedly wagered in the 170 bets.
