With funding from the National Lottery's "Reaching Communities" fund, Acorn Recovery Projects is assisting in the development of better futures for their volunteers.
The project, which will run for three years beginning in July 2023, aims to place fifteen volunteers—previous Acorn clients—into stable paid jobs.
At least five volunteers will be hired for 12-month terms each year, after which they will be assisted in transitioning to new positions. The five volunteers who participated in the initial paid work placement program have now secured new, full-time, permanent roles in the recovery community.
