Ads of exiled gambling company imposed on overseas Australian football broadcasts

An offshore gambling company that violated Australian law and was forced to leave the country has paid the national football league to promote itself internationally.

The Australian Professional Leagues has digitally imposed advertisements for the gambling company 8XBet on international broadcasts of A-League games. During some games, the company's logo appears in ten different locations at the same time.

The advertisements, which are not visible to fans inside the stadium, appeared during matches played by clubs that have pledged never to accept money from gambling companies and have complained about the prevalence of advertisements during live sports.
