The collaboration between the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS), the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF), and the E-Gaming Federation (EGF) to combat illegal gambling ads in India is indeed a significant step towards ensuring responsible advertising practices within the gaming industry. By signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and taking collective action to address this issue, these organizations are demonstrating their commitment to promoting fair and legal gaming practices.

One of the key aspects of this collaboration is the focus on ensuring that real-money gaming advertisements adhere to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines. This is crucial in protecting consumers and maintaining the integrity of the gaming industry in India.

The fact that over 413 ads from offshore entities have already been flagged since the MoU was put into effect highlights the extent of the problem of illegal gambling ads in the country. By identifying and reporting these non-compliant advertisements, the organizations involved are taking proactive steps to curb the spread of unauthorized and potentially harmful content.

It is commendable that the stakeholders are dedicated to continuing their efforts until full legal compliance is achieved. By working together and leveraging their collective resources and expertise, the FIFS, AIGF, and EGF can make a tangible impact in creating a safer and more transparent gaming environment for players and operators alike.
