After a surprising withdrawal after the Masters, Rory McIlroy faces the wrath of the PGA Tour.

The world's third-ranked golfer, Rory McIlroy, was expected to spill the beans on his appalling missed cut at The Masters on Tuesday, but he has chosen to keep quiet by skipping the RBC Heritage.

On Monday, when word of McIlroy's last-minute withdrawal broke without an explanation, eyebrows were raised everywhere. One of the PGA Tour's "designated events" was developed this season, with McIlroy's assistance, as a defense against the danger posed by LIV Golf, and it begins on Thursday in Hilton Head.
