Alabama bill set to elevate gambling convictions to felonies

When it comes to gambling laws, Alabama is one of the strictest states. There aren't any iGaming sites, commercial casinos or racinos, sportsbooks, or even state-run lotteries in the state. Stricter penalties for breaking the restrictive gambling regulations would be imposed by new legislation.

The bill would make it clear that the Alabama Code prohibits the use of video lottery terminals, antique horse racing machines, electronic bingo games, and so-called skill games.
