The Florida Lottery revealed on Monday that the winner of the $5 scratch-off game "$150,000 a Year for Life" has secured the top prize, which is worth $150,000 every year for life.
He was "all smiles" when arriving at the Lottery's Tallahassee headquarters to pick up his enormous cheque, according to the Lottery.
The fortunate winner decided to take his prize as a $2.44 million lump sum payout. He bought his winning ticket in Florida at Lotto Discount Liquor, a store located directly across the border between Florida and Alabama. Selling the winning ticket brought in a $4,000 bonus for the shop.
