Alcohol and Gaming Commission study shows players prefer regulated iGaming websites

More than 86% of online gamblers in Ontario prefer to bet in the regulated igaming market, according to a study co-commissioned by iGaming Ontario and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

86.4 per cent of Ontario residents who bet online in the last three months did so through regulated operators, according to the study. This percentage was 85.3% in a similar study that was carried out in 2023.

Surprised it's not higher honestly. You always hear warnings about unauthorized casinos stealing funds or not paying out, yet some still use them. Must be convenient not dealing with verification ID stuff. But it's not worth the risk if things go south IMO, not when there are so many great legal choices. To each their own, but give me the peace of mind of a regulated operator any day.
