Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario enforces ban on celebrities in sports betting ads

Online sports gambling advertisements that feature athletes and celebrities are prohibited in Ontario. The province forbids the use of any athletes or celebrities, living or deceased, in marketing or advertising materials related to online sports betting.

The use of entertainers, role models, social media influencers, cartoon characters, and symbols that are likely to appeal to minors is also prohibited in online advertising.

The road ahead for newly proposed legislation aimed at restricting sports betting marketing in the US is long.

This is pretty much good thing and development actually because when they celebrity are seen in such ads the people are much more attracted to activities like gambling and it creates and influx of players playing in such activities more than they should do so the ban on such things is actually right and correct and right in every manner indeed
