Allwyn issues clarification amid concerns over rule changes of The National Lottery

Allwyn, the current operator of the British National Lottery, has released an explanation regarding modifications to the regulations governing the acquisition of certain prizes. Due to the National Lottery's contract with the Post Office expiring, there is a new procedure for claiming prizes on tickets purchased via retail outlets, with prizes ranging from £500.01 to £50,000.

It now takes longer for players to claim their prizes because they have to confirm their winning numbers either over the phone or online before mailing in their ticket.
