Almost half of BetStop gambling self-exclusion sign-ups consist of young players

According to new data, nearly half of those who have registered for gambling self-exclusion on Australia's national self-exclusion register are under 30 years old.

The youngest players who are legally permitted to gamble made up 47% of BetStop sign-ups, according to the Australian Communications and Media Authority's most recent report on the service.

BetStop has accumulated 17,423 sign-ups since its August 2023 launch.
