28-year-old K.C., a gambling addict, has been sentenced to over 14 years in jail for his role in a failed attempt to smuggle 2.4 tons of cocaine into Western Australia.
He flew to Perth with the impression of storing the drugs for a payment of $200,000 but was arrested after police substituted the cocaine with plaster of Paris.
K.C. lawyer described his involvement as low and attributed it to his gambling and drug debts.
