Angelo Coronel, a pro-gaming senator, has been appointed as a rapporteur for the Brazil Betting Bill.

Angelo Coronel, a Senator from Brazil, has been designated as the Rapporteur of the Senate Economic Affairs Commission for the Bill 3,626/2023, which aims to regulate gambling and betting all across the country. Rapporteurs hold a significant position in the Brazilian legislative procedure, as they report and provide updates during Commission meetings regarding specific legislations. They also ensure absolute transparency by highlighting any proposed modifications or amendments to the bills that these committees may have. It seems that Coronel has already put forward some amendments to the Betting Regulation Bill. One amendment proposes the legalization of all categories of games within Brazil, while the other suggests the revocation of the Criminal Misdemeanors Law.
