Antigua man charged with operating illegal sports betting company

According to the indictment, the suspect was the head of Sports Offshore, a multimillion dollar offshore sports betting enterprise. Federal authorities claim that despite having an Antigua license, the online sportsbook principally targeted American customers in an illegal manner.

13 years after being charged by a federal grand jury in Boston on several counts relating to his alleged offshore sports betting enterprise, he was finally apprehended. According to the prosecution, he engaged 50 persons in the United States to attract customers and recover debts.
