We know that high level of mathematics is needed in the poker game but I would like to ask if a mathematician is automatically a professional poker player ? if that be the case, then it will be much more easier for mathematicians to make money for themselves visiting the casino . They can quickly rack in huge amount of money an smile to the bank.

Mathematicians are not automatically professional poker player. You could be a mathematician and not know anything the about poker . You still need to learn some basics before you can apply your mathematics skill.

No, been a mathematician doesn't mean that you will be expert in playing the pokers game, you need to learn the basics of how the game work and acquire all necessary techniques and experience required

You cannot take mathematician as an automatic professional poker player because there are so many other strategies that could be used to win poker apart from the mathematics skills.

I do not think that a mathematician automatically qualifies to be a proficient poker player, because there are other games which require these skills such as Sudoku. They would be well positioned to be world-class in the game, though

It is extremely true that mathematicians do not automatically qualify to become a professional poker player but it is one of the skill that is required of you if you want to become a Poker Pro.

No doubt, and this is what I was alluding to in the final part of my contribution. More often than not, mathematicians are primed enough to become elite poker players due to their vast knowledge of mathematics as a whole, which can provide an edge in poker games

A mathematical skill is going to give an edge the poker table honestly, but that is not the only skill that is needed to win the game. There are so many other skills that should be added in order to become a professional player.

You do have a point, and I am in agreement with you about mathematics not necessarily being the only skill one needs to be a successful poker player. If you could go one step further and enumerate other skills that a pro poker player needs, that would be really informative
