I think many gaming operators and casino organizations have implemented responsible gambling initiatives as part of their corporate social responsibility efforts. These initiatives are designed to educate players and staff about responsible gambling practices, provide support and resources to individuals who may be at risk of developing a gambling problem, and promote safer gambling environments.

For most recreational gamblers, entertainment and the possibility of winning typically take precedence over responsible gambling goals.
Optimism bias and illusion of control often lead gamblers to underestimate their risk, reducing focus on responsible practices.

Gamblers' perceptions of their responsibilities are greatly influenced by the way gambling is presented. Due to the historical emphasis on personal accountability by the gambling industry and its stakeholders, gamblers may come to believe that they are exclusively accountable for their actions.

I think While personal accountability is an important aspect of responsible gambling, it is not the sole responsibility of the individual gambler. The gambling industry has a role to play in promoting responsible gambling and providing support and resources to those who may be experiencing harm.
