Are the government are hiding some secret in poker regulations ?

Some people believe that the government is hiding one or two secrets when it comes to poker regulations and most especially it is has to do with online poker where the government has a connection with the online poker to make certain amount of money this assertion may not be genuine from my point of view but I don't know if you have any objection to this.
