Argentina Football Association bans referee for match-fixing

A referee has been banned by the Argentine Football Association for match-fixing offenses.

First, the Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires and operator BPlay filed a joint complaint, which prompted an investigation.

The association claims that by placing two wagers on the second Argentine division game between Deportivo Morón and Almirante Brown, the referee committed a "serious offence" by violating the rules' referee code.
