Argentine ombudsman proposes federal ban on gambling advertising

Last week, the Ombudsman of Argentina filed a proposal in Congress to impose federal regulations on gambling advertising. They are working to get them all on the same page despite the fact that local gambling laws vary by province.

For a while now, underage gambling has dominated public discourse, and worries about problem gambling have grown. Due to this, a number of regional authorities have begun to impose website bans, issue advisories, or even file lawsuits against influencers and celebrities who they claim are endorsing illicit activities.
