The American Indian Science and Engineering Society has received a $500,000 grant from Aristocrat Gaming, a division of Aristocrat Leisure that designs, produces, and distributes casino games.
A number of initiatives, including the Resources for Indigenous STEM Education Fund, will be supported by the grant.
The RISE Fund offers gamers access to programming tools as part of its mission to enhance science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education and jobs for Indigenous children and professionals alike.
The Aristocrat grant will also support student fellowships, internships, and other career development programs.
