A third round of bidding for Pope County's exclusive gaming license will soon be opened by the Arkansas Racing Commission.
It is anticipated that the sole bidders will continue to be the same two organizations that have been vying for the concession for a number of years. Gulfside Casino Partnership, a gaming company with its headquarters in Mississippi, and Cherokee Nation Businesses, the Oklahoma-based Cherokee Nation's commercial conglomerate, are those entities.
