Assistant headteacher stole taxpayer's cash meant for school feeding to fund gambling addiction

In order to feed his addiction to gambling, an assistant headteacher stole thousands of pounds from a free school meal scheme.

While receiving additional pay to oversee the government's holiday activities and food program at his primary school, he kept the money for himself.

The program, which was being run in the county by Norfolk County Council and was implemented nationwide after a campaign spearheaded by football player Marcus Rashford, was given to the married father of one.

Gambling addiction is a serious mental illness and must be approached like that to resolve the problem. A lot of gamblers are in public offices where they have access to public funds and is a huge risk to the society. I think government should make policies that will bar public servants from gambling. Moreover, government should make sure it is monitored and people who are founf guilty will be punished severely.
