Atlantic City casinos heat up in August as gaming win climbs

August proved to be a lucky month for the gaming establishments along the shore of Atlantic City, as they needed a little luck to celebrate the unofficial end of summer.

Throughout three quarters of 2024, gambling in physical casinos remained unchanged; however, this did not hold true for online slots, interactive table games, or sports betting.
The internet gaming market in New Jersey is still growing, with over $1.52 billion in gross gaming revenue generated in the first eight months of operation. The online victory is an increase of 22.7% over 2023.
