Atlantic City casinos revenue rise with profits declining due to inflation

During the second quarter of 2024, revenue at the nine casinos in Atlantic City increased, but the additional funds were insufficient to cover higher operating costs.

Throughout the first half of 2024, inflation kept eating away at the profits of the gaming industry in Atlantic City. Over $1.6 billion in revenue was generated by the industry overall, up 1.5%, but $333.7 million was lost in profits.
