A service called Safe Sport was launched by the Association of Tennis Professionals, Tennis Data Innovations, and Sportradar in an effort to combat online abuse of professional tennis players.
The service employs a range of technologies and services, such as artificial intelligence, education, moderation, and investigation, in order to safeguard players. Players ranked in the top 50 for doubles and the top 250 for singles in the ATP will have free access to the technology, which is opt-in only.
In the meantime, comments containing threats or illegal content will be looked into by Sportradar's intelligence analysts to identify the offender and take action against their online behavior.
