Australian Communications and Media Authority bans two more illegal gambling sites

The Australian Communications and Media Authority has blocked additional websites that illegally target Australian consumers in the online gaming industry.

The Interactive Gambling Act of 2001 was found to have been violated by Richard Casino and Wanted Win. The Australian Communications and Media Authority has ordered internet service providers to stop allowing users to access these websites.

One tool available for enforcement to safeguard Australians against illicit gambling is website blocking. When businesses are discovered to be providing services that are illegal or unlicensed, it can be put into effect, along with publishing advertisements for those services.
