Australian Communications and Media Authority requests blocking of more illegal gambling sites

To shield citizens from illicit gambling services, the Australian Communications and Media Authority has asked that all Australian internet service providers block websites that violate the Interactive Gambling Act of 2001.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority has blocked 975 illicit gambling websites and the websites that link to them since 2019. Additionally, the organization has enforced laws against offshore gambling, which has caused over 220 illegal services to withdraw from the Australian market.
