Australian gambling losses continue to grow exponentially

This past week, the Queensland Government made available the most recent annual report that the Queensland Government Statistician's Office had put together. The report, which covered all Australian territories and governments, found a rise in both the overall amount spent on gambling per person and the amount of money lost to it.

Concerned about the results, the Alliance for Gambling Reform—a group that advocates for industry reforms to protect youth and vulnerable populations—was drawn to the information.
