Australian TV company against restriction on gambling ads due to loss of revenue

According to Free TV CEO, more regulations on gambling advertising would have a major effect on the revenue of free-to-air broadcasters.
She said that the money made from gambling advertisements is currently used to produce drama, live and free sports, reliable news, and local entertainment.

In Australia, gambling-related advertising was projected to cost $300 million by 2022, with television accounting for over half of that amount.

In this case the industry can always find out alternatives for making money such type of ADS should not be promoted in Access otherwise they can make many people addict which is definitely a problem in the community that have much younger people who might be at the risk of developing such addictions most easily due to the excess amount of ADS being available to them on most of the television platforms easily
