Australia's regulatory body sues Star executives who operate casinos

A former chief executive and a former chairman are among the 11 current and former directors and senior executives of casino operator Star Entertainment Group who are being sued by Australia's corporations regulator for negligently managing money-laundering risks.
The regulator filed its first legal action against the casino sector in 2019 after learning about reports of weak governance. Additionally, it is the first to focus on specific board members.
