Authorities shut down illegal gambling operations in Connecticut & Mississippi

Authorities in Connecticut and Mississippi have discovered illicit operations and made numerous arrests and charges as a result of recently intensified efforts to combat unregulated gambling.

In their efforts to shut down illicit gaming establishments, Connecticut and Mississippi are not alone. After receiving support from the Florida Gaming Control Commission for their investigation, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office in Florida recently closed 11 illegal casinos. During the operation, law enforcement found 400 slot machines and $403,000 in cash.
