Bally's Corporation casino franchise hopes to clear air on smoking by 2025

The Bally's Corporation, which has the exclusive right to operate casinos in Rhode Island, is based there. Before the General Assembly adjourned for the year last week, the gaming company was dealt winning legislative hands in the 2024 legislative session.

Bally's executives persisted in emphasizing how mandating a smoke-free environment on their casino floors would severely hurt gaming revenue. They contend that would mean less tax revenue for the state and job losses.
