The deal between Bally's and SC Gaming to open and run a Category 4 satellite casino close to Penn State University at the Nittany Mall has ended, but the project will still proceed and is still scheduled to open in the first half of 2026, as announced today.
The project was consistent with the casino operator's previous endeavors when Bally's and SC Gaming agreed to collaborate on the Pennsylvania mini casino three years ago. But since then, Bally's has quickly stepped up its ambition, aiming for bigger, more costly developments in larger cities.
