Bally's facing five months of daily demolition to build permanent casino

Bally's needs to put in a lot of work before the operator's permanent Chicago casino hotel can be built on the Freedom Center site.

At present, the city of Chicago is considering five demolition permits for the regional casino company. Each one relates to a different building on the estate. Demolition crews would have to work twelve hours a day, seven days a week for five months in order to prepare the site for the construction of a casino resort, even if the city were to quickly approve those licenses—arguably a fanciful prospect.
