Baseball coach resigns due to alleged participation in betting scandal

After serving as the team's manager for the previous six seasons, the baseball coach for Cincinnati announced his resignation. The decision was made in the midst of a betting scandal involving the head coach of Alabama. During an NCAA baseball game between Alabama and LSU in Cincinnati's Great American Ball Park in May, suspicious betting was reported to Ohio gaming officials. The Ohio Casino Control Commission was able to prove that the coach had a conversation with the gambler who ultimately chose to back Alabama to lose using security footage.

This is bad. This is what is called fixed match. It isz better as the coach resigned. He should not be left scotfree. He should be made to face a trial after a through investigation is carried out in order to confirm the findings of the Ohio casino control commission.
With this, occurrence of similar events in future would be prevented.
