Belgian gambling association wants huge gap in new regulations corrected

An association representing the gaming industry in Belgium has called on lawmakers to close a "striking" loophole in new rules that went into effect this week.

The Belgian Association of Gaming Operators, which stated that the industry had been requesting the change "for some time," praised Belgium's decision to raise the legal gambling age to 21.

The Gambling Act in Belgium was recently modified to prohibit bonuses and other forms of player incentives, in addition to raising the legal gambling age to 21.
