Belgium to apply tough gambling protections from start of September

The minimum age to gamble is now 21 years old, thanks to new regulations the Gambling Authority of Belgium has confirmed it will implement starting on September 1, 2024.

The choice was made in response to the Belgian Gambling Act's January approval of additional player protection amendments.

As a result, Belgium has followed Greece in being the second EU member state to impose a minimum age of 21 for all forms of gambling.
