The Louisiana riverboat Belle of Baton Rouge is prepared to make her way inland, where her casino floor will be replaced by a physical one.
Penn Entertainment's real estate investment trust, Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc., is the Belle of Baton Rouge's landlord. This week, they made it official that the money will mostly go toward funding the casino's move. With an estimated cost of up to $141 million, they are investing $111 million in the project. The final $30 million will be paid by Queen Casino & Entertainment.
