The UK Gambling Commission has ordered operator bet365 to pay £582,120 for failures including inadequate customer due diligence and KYC triggers.
The regulator claimed that the business did not perform financial sanctions checks on new clients before their initial deposits.
The Gambling Commission said that in addition to failings in anti-money laundering, bet365 also failed in social responsibility.
A UK Gambling Commission compliance assessment revealed the shortcomings.
