Betfred has donated £30,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support as a result of its pledge gift during the World Matchplay and Women's World Matchplay. As players and celebrities participated in a nine-dart charity challenge, Betfred agreed to pay £50 for every 180 hit throughout the World Matchplay and Women's World Matchplay in addition to contributing £1 for each point. The charity nine-dart challenge brought in $9,793. Since taking over as the World Matchplay's title sponsor in 2019, Betfred has raised money for Parkinson's UK and The Stroke Association. It has made a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support for the past two years.
